Abstract
Branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO) is a common cause for vision loss in elderly people. The complex pathogenesis of BRVO makes it an interdisciplinary task. Treatment of BRVO should aim to eliminate the complications and vision-disturbing effects of BRVO but should also include prophylactic measures in order to avoid recurrence of the disease.
