Abstract
Ovalbumin treatment resulted in a huge influx of leukocytes in the BAL fluid. Treatment with scGOS/lcFOS/pAOS showed a decreasing trend in the total number of leukocytes in the BAL fluid, represented by decreases in the number of macrophages, neutrophils, eosinophils and lymphocyte subsets. Airway hyperresponsiveness was increased in ovalbumin treated animals. However, treatment with scGOS/lcFOS/pAOS did neither suppress the airway...
