Synthesis of phthalates of betulinic acid and betulin with cytotoxic activity

Synthesis of 3beta-O-phthalic esters from betulinic acid and its esters and synthesis of phthalic esters from betulin and its monoacetates using classical acylation procedure with phthalic anhydride.
