Abstract
We have postulated that binding of the hydrophobic anticonvulsant drug diphenylhydantoin (DPH) to lymphoid cells might induce graft-versus-host (GVH)-like cell reactions by T lymphocytes and thus trigger autoimmunization and lymphoma development observed in patients treated with DPH.
