Abstract
Conventional and polarized light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) are used to examine the microstructure of a two-dimensional mesophase pitch fiber, phenolic resin char plus chemical vapor infiltrated (CVI) matrix carbon-carbon composite.
