Abstract
A case of presumed person-to-person transmission of Strongyloides steracolis is described. The index case was immunocompromised following high dose glucocorticosteroid therapy for myelodysplasia, which resulted in reactivation of latent strongyloides infection with the hyperinfestation syndrome.
