Abstract
Sex and species differences in androgenic regulation of steroid hormone receptor mRNAs were examined in the diencephalon of two species of whiptail lizards: Cnemidophorus inornatus is a sexual species and the direct evolutionary ancestor to Cnemidophorus uniparens, an all-female parthenogenetic species.
