Abstract
Background: Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) is a common organ-specific autoimmune disease. Antithyroglobulin antibodies (TgAb) and antithyroperoxidase antibodies (TPOAb), predominantly of the immunoglobulin (Ig) G class, are hallmarks of HT.
