Stable water‐borne polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) were prepared from bifunctional aliphatic polycarbonate‐based macrodiol, 2,2‐bis(hydroxymethyl)propionic acid (DMPA), 1,6‐diisocyanatohexane, 1,4‐butanediol (BD), and triethylamine.
