Abstract
Cardiac amyloidosis due to clonal immunoglobulin light chain (AL) is a potentially fatal disease. The mechanism(s) of cardiac dysfunction and myocardial damage caused by amyloid fibrils deposition represents the least understood aspect of amyloid pathology.
