Abstract
Blastoschizomyces capitatus, Scedosporium prolificans and S. apiospermum are emerging fungal pathogens that may cause disseminated disease in neutropenic patients. They can present as fever resistant to antibiotics and to wide-spectrum antifungal agents, although they may involve almost every organ.
