Abstract
There is potential for haemorrhaging injuries that become contaminated with toxic chemicals e.g. sulphur mustard (SM). There are no specific medical countermeasures for such injuries at present. It is proposed that haemostats could simultaneously stop bleeding and decontaminate wounds.
