We read with interest the article by Jasper S. et al.(1) regarding toxin induced liver injury (TLI) after liver transplantation (LT) in yellow phosphorus (YP) poisoning. The authors postulate that early allograft dysfunction (EAD) is secondary to TLI from YP released from non-hepatic tissues after LT. We believe that there are theoretical and practical problems with this hypothesis.
