Abstract A novel heterogeneous catalyst, MIL-101(Cr)-DABCO IL, with DABCO serving as bridge agent to merge the advantages of ionic liquids (IL) and metal-organic framework (MOF) was prepared and evaluated as catalyst for the synthesis of cyclic carbonates from CO2 and epoxides. Abstract A nanoporous N-doped carbon/ZnO hybrid material (Zn-Asp-300) is facilely prepared by direct thermolysis of zinc aspartate precursor, which could be used as effective catalyst for the cycloaddition reaction of CO2 and epoxides in the presence of tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) as co-catalyst.
