Abstract A sulfated Chinese yam polysaccharide (S-CYP) was obtained from non-starch Chinese yam polysaccharide (CYP) by chlorosulfonic acid-pyridine (CSA-Pyr) method. In this study, a phosphorylated derivative of Cyclocarya paliurus polysaccharide (CP) was synthesized using sodium tripolyphosphate and sodium trimetaphosphate.
