Abstract This study investigated the mechanical behavior of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) wires subjected to combined tension and bending through transverse load tests and finite element analysis (FEA). Abstract The fatigue behavior of an adhesively bonded glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP)/steel double-lap joint (DLJ) under cyclic tensile loading with load ratio R = 0.1 was experimentally studied. Results in terms of failure mode, F-N curve, stiffness degradation law, crack initiation and propagation laws were obtained. Abstract This paper experimentally investigated the effect of temperature on the transverse impact response of preloaded carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) wire.
