The current study focuses on the influences of magnetic flux density (MFD) on liquid melt film (LMF) morphology and inclusion removal during magnetic controlled electroslag remelting (MC-ESR) process (GCr15 bearing steel). Abstract High total strain-controlled creep-fatigue tests of 1.8% were performed for a directionally-solidified Ni-based superalloy, DZ445, at 900 °C in air. Dwell times of 0, 2, and 5 min. were introduced at the tensile peak strain for each cycle. Experimental results show a decrease in fatigue life with increasing dwell time. The effects of an axial static magnetic field (ASMF) on the carbides and mechanical properties of electroslag-remelted (ESR) Cr12MoV die steel were investigated. Abstract Based on the tensile stress-dominated (strain ratio, R = e min / e max = 0 ) and compressive stress-dominated (R = ∞) low-cycle fatigue (LCF) of a first-generation directionally solidified Ni-based superalloy DZ445 at 900 °C, the paper investigated the contribution of tensile stress and compressive stress to the damage during LCF and creep-fatigue deformation.
