The effect of the introduction of Co2+ to ZrO2–10 wt % Al2O3 ceramic materials on their phase composition, porosity, microstructure, strength, microhardness, cytotoxicity, and cytocompatibility was studied. It was shown that the addition of Co2+ stabilizes the tetragonal form of ZrO2, which is the only form in sintering at 1400°С. Abstract—Hydroxyapatite powders containing up to 2.4 mol % Cu (Cu-HA) have been synthesized via precipitation from solution. The synthesized materials have been characterized by X-ray diffraction after heat treatment in the temperature range from 900 to 1400°C and their lattice parameters and crystallite size have been determined. In our work, we conducted studies to evaluate the reconstruction of an artificially created critical radial defect in rats with the use of tri-calcium phosphate scaffold enriched with erythropoietin (ЕРО).
