Herein, NiCr was coated on γ-TiAl via the hollow cathode glow discharge, whereas yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) was coated on the NiCr by multi-arc ion plating. A strong bonding between the two coatings and substrate, i.e., NiCr, YSZ, and γ-TiAl occurred. The effect of water-based aluminum phosphate (WAP) coating on the fatigue performance of 300 M steel with coating of primer and finishing layers was studied in the manuscript. The S-N curves showed that the WAP coating could improve the fatigue performance of the 300 M steel. Ta–W co-alloying was realized by double glow plasma surface metallurgy technology, and their effects on high-temperature oxidation behavior of γ-TiAl were studied. Abstract Cr ions with doses of 3.56, 5.53 and 7.12 × 1016 ions/cm2 were implanted on the TC18 alloy by ion implantation technique.
