Although myocardial thickness is an important variable for therapeutic catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias, quantification of wall thickness has been overlooked. We developed a software (AMBER) that measures 3D-myocardial thickness using a cardiac computed tomogram (CT) image, verified its accuracy, and tested its clinical feasibility. We generated 3D-thickness maps by calculating wall thickness (WT) from the CT images of 120 patients’ hearts and a 3D-phantom model (PhM). The initial vector...

Several biomarkers have been proposed as independent predictors of poor outcomes in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). We investigated whether adding information obtained from routine blood tests including hypoxic liver injury (HLI), dysglycemia, anemia, and high neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) could improve the prognostic performance of the TIMI risk score for the prediction of 1-year mortality. A total of 1057 patients with STEMI undergoing primary percutaneous coronary i...

Dendritic cells (DCs) play critical roles in atopic diseases, orchestrating both innate and adaptive immune systems. Nevertheless, limited information is available regarding the mechanism through which DCs induce hyperresponsiveness in patients with allergies. This study aims to reveal novel genetic alterations and future therapeutic target molecules in the DCs from patients with allergies using whole transcriptome sequencing. Transcriptome sequencing of human BDCA-3+/CD11c+ DCs sorted from peri...

Chronic rhinosinusitis is known to be influenced by cigarette exposure; however, this relationship is based on the presence of nasal polyps, and objective measurements of cigarette exposure in chronic rhinosinusitis are not well established. This study aimed to estimate the association between chronic rhinosinusitis and smoking status based on self-reported questionnaires and urinary cotinine levels according to the presence of nasal polyps. We analyzed a total of 23,621 participants who partici...
