Abstract null null Nanoscale ruthenium (Ru)-based materials are promising replacements for existing multilayered Cu interconnects in integrated circuits. However, it is not easy to apply the results of previously reported studies directly to the electrochemical damascene process because the previous studies have mainly focused on thin films by dry deposition. Here, we report the electrical resistivity and microstructure of electrodeposited Ru nanowires. We estimate that the resistivity value of ...

The fabrication of 3D hollow nanostructures not only allows the tactical provision of specific physicochemical properties but also broadens the application scope of such materials in various fields. The synthesis of 3D hollow nanocoils (HNCs), however, is limited by the lack of an appropriate template or synthesis method, thereby restricting the wide-scale application of HNCs. Herein, a strategy for preparing HNCs by harnessing a single sacrificial template to modulate the interfacial reaction a...

AIM In the present study, the prevalence and predictors of symptomatic and full remission were investigated in patients with first-episode psychosis (FEP) at the 12-month follow-up. METHODS A total of 308 participants aged 18-45 years fulfilled the study inclusion criteria and 214 completed the 12-month follow-up. RESULTS At the 12-month follow-up, 67.3% (142) and 25.9% (55) of the FEP patients met the criteria for symptomatic and full remission, respectively. Stepwise logistic regression analys...

Abstract null null Background null This study aimed to investigate the 1-year changes in neuropsychological test results in older adults with concomitant late-life depression (LLD) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) according to the presence or absence of brain amyloidopathy. null null null Methods null All subjects underwent 18F‐florbetaben‐positron emission tomography and a standardized neuropsychological battery. The subjects were divided based on brain amyloidopathy and severity of depressi...

In atopic dermatitis (AD), skin inflammation is caused by complex interactions between genetic disposition and aberrant innate/adaptive immune responses. Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are key molecules in the innate/adaptive immune response as they recognize various molecular motifs associated with pathogens. Among them, TLR8 is implicated in eczematous skin reactions. We investigated the combined therapeutic effects of TLR8 gene silencing by the bacterial delivery of miRNA. We used Salmonella as a...

BACKGROUND Recent data suggested that dysbiosis of the gut microbiome is associated with childhood allergic diseases. Oral administration of probiotic formulations may improve the severity of atopic dermatitis (AD) by restoring imbalanced gut microbiota and reducing intestinal inflammation in children. OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of a probiotic mixture on the clinical severity of AD, gut inflammatory markers and alterations in microbiome dysbiosis in children ...
