A series of biheterocyclic assemblies comprising of 1,2,5-oxadiazole and azasydnone scaffolds were synthesized and biologically evaluated as novel nitric oxide (NO)-donor and antiplatelet agents. Abstract Crude anionic polysaccharides extracted from the Pacific starfish Lysastrosoma anthosticta were separated by anion-exchange chromatography into fractions LA-F1 and LA-F2. We report a novel family of natural lipoglycopeptides produced by Streptomyces sp. INA-Ac-5812. Two major components of the mixture, named gausemycins A and B, were isolated, and their structures were elucidated.
